Scafftec were tasked by our clients at Weatherhead with erecting a temporary roof over the store in order to carry roof and building works, whilst the store remained open. The scaffold formed 2 temporary roofs over the 2 pitched roofs. The middle section of the building consisted of a flat roof that was not able to take any weight. This meant designing a scaffold that could span the middle section of the building, whilst being able to take the weight of the temporary roof. This beam design was created by our designer by using deep beams and spanning 18m. This was a particularly challenging build for our scaffolders due to 2 sides of the building being land locked. Scafftec were contacted by a new client to provide a scaffold to the multi storey car park located at Derriford Hospital. Our client required a scaffold to gain access to all windows to allow a specific film to be applied. Scafftec were asked to complete a number of scaffolds to the building in order to carry out some inspections. This involved craning some materials to the roof and working some up the stairwells inside. We then followed on from that by erecting 4 towers around the building at 22 lifts in height. You certainly need a head for these heights. The lads involved did a cracking job working to the clients deadlines with now more work to follow.
