Scafftec were tasked by our clients at Weatherhead with erecting a temporary roof over the store in order to carry roof and building works, whilst the store remained open.
The scaffold formed 2 temporary roofs over the 2 pitched roofs. The middle section of the building consisted of a flat roof that was not able to take any weight. This meant designing a scaffold that could span the middle section of the building, whilst being able to take the weight of the temporary roof. This beam design was created by our designer by using deep beams and spanning 18m.
This was a particularly challenging build for our scaffolders due to 2 sides of the building being land locked. Most of the materials had to go up and over the middle section of the building.
